How is Arthritis diagnosed?
Diagnosing arthritis often includes a detailed medical history of current and past symptoms, physical examination, x-rays, and blood work to determine the type of arthritis. It is possible to have more than one form of arthritis at the same time.
What are the treatments for Arthritis?
The focus of treatment for arthritis is to control pain, minimize joint damage, and to improve or maintain function and quality of life. According to the American College of Rheumatology, the treatment of arthritis might involve the following:
- Medication.
- Nonpharmacologic therapies
- Physical or occupational therapy.
- Splints or joint assistive aids.
- Patient education and support.
- Weight loss.
- Surgery.
Is exercise recommended for people who have Arthritis?
Recent studies have shown that moderate physical activity 3 or more days a week can help to relieve arthritis pain and stiffness and give you more energy. Regular physical activity can also lift your mood and make you feel more positive. If you are having an acute flare-up of your inflammatory arthritis, it may be better to restrict your exercise to simple range of motion (carefully moving the joint as far as it can go) during the flare-up.
How does body weight influence Arthritis?
Weight control is essential, because extra pounds put extra pressure on many joints. Research suggests that maintaining a healthy weight reduces the risk of developing arthritis and may decrease disease progression. A loss of just 11 pounds can decrease the occurrence (incidence) of knee osteoarthritis.
The Role of Mangosteen
Despite, the arsenal of drugs that are currently available to help control the symptoms of arthritis (NSAIDS and opioid analgesics), pain and suffering are still not adequately controlled in a significant number of patients. Furthermore, a lot of these medications have side effects that are intolerable and downright dangerous to patients who suffer from co-existing illnesses. Alternative medicine has provided a promising alternative that, if taken seriously, can dramatically reduce the risk of developing arthritis. And if you already have it, possibly even reduce the pain and blunt its progression. The xanthones in mangosteen juice, particularly alpha and gamma mangosteen have proven remarkably effective as anti-inflammatory agents in animal studies, demonstrating both COX1 and COX2 inhibition, minus the harmful side-effects of several known drug remedies.
Furthermore, studies have shown that people who supplement with high levels of antioxidants from natural foods such as mangosteen juice, have a much lower incidence of arthritis. The xanthones in the mangosteen fruit, acting as powerful antioxidants have been proven to counteract free radicals, thus preventing painful arthritis.
Xanthone Juice™ is the first and only dietary product with the highest xanthone content.. Manufactured in North America, under the strictest guidelines of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, it is made up of only the highest quality mangosteen mixed with delicious fruits and extracts. The first commercial product in the Philippines using the whole mangosteen fruit, Xanthone Juice’s concentrated formula allows for more of xanthones’ health benefits with smaller doses -maximizing dosage efficiency while providing options for stronger dosaging when deemed necessary. Since the xanthones in mangosteen are fat-soluble, Xanthone Juice should be taken with a meal or snack, either just before, during, or after eating, to allow for maximum absorption.
We at Xanthone Juice Corp. are dedicated to forwarding the cause of natural health and healing that is based on hard and exacting science. We hope you enjoy the special formulation we prepare in our North American facility.
